Hi,

i have a drill down feature in my report where a &variable needs to pass a String with single quotes to rhe same fex file. But when i am passing the value I get the following error


0 ERROR AT OR NEAR LINE 25 IN PROCEDURE _test_levels
(FOC318) A FIELD FORMAT IS NOT ALLOWED IN -SET: &G1234''='';

Is it true that we cant pass values with single quotes through drill down??

Please suggest an approach based on either YES or NO for the above question.

Answer is yes, you can although you have to be very careful as you have found out.

First thing to check is the source of your HTML to see what values are being placed within your anchor tags. Also, when you do your equality test on the variable value then be sure to enclose in quotes.

This is an example that seems to function on my local set-up -
