i want a alias name for Over field i.e car
i want to it to be like car (newcar)
or car (newcar+guarantee')

i want the CAR in the OVER to display
"CAR (newcar+guarantee)" as the name of the column instead of "CAR" when running the report.

Your focexec as written does not run. You might want to post one that does.

You can always use AS to change the column title of a column.

That would be a problem because that syntax is not valid. If you're not able to get the correct syntax, let the Report Painter do it for you until you're familiar with the code that gets created. If you just put the OVER after the AS phrase, you get a query that works, but I don't know if that's what you're looking for.

SUM
CAR AS 'CAR (ASN)' OVER
SALES
BY COUNTRY NOPRINT
ACROSS MODEL
BY COUNTRY
END
