I have dynamic fields in my HTML page that display a feild description but return a numeric code to the program.
On the report output, we're printing a header that shows the user which fields they input, but the dynamic fields all print as the numeric code.
Is there anyway for the html to return both the display and the value of the field so that I reference that in the report? This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,
Yes... There are two fields associated with the controls, 'Value Field' and 'Display Field'. You can drag-and-drop a field from the selected MFD (when using "Dynamic' / 'Data Source') into either the 'Value Field' and 'Display Field'. Note: you can select 'Value Field' and double click the associated field. But that method does not work for the 'Display Field', (bug) you need to drag-and-drop it there.
Does this answer your question? If not, then consider using a DECODE, or something, to 'translate your incoming value to that which you want displayed on the final report.
