I need to format the result of a -SET to be an I8B format.
MY command is -SET &RemCURP = (&YTDCURP + &BLCURP - &PlanCURP); eg. -SET &RemCURP = (5 + 4 - 12) gives me a value of -3 for &RemCURP
I am inserting &RemCURP into a Web Page with this command. RemCURP.value = "!IBI.AMP.RemCURP;";
On the web page I need it in the I8B format. So either a way to format it in the exec or the web page would work for me.
Thanks,
Tim
EDIT - Solved Note Thanks Francis. I spent some time messing with FTOA but was using I8B and getting a return of 0. Your solution worked well for me. I wound up going with this -SET &RemCURP = (&YTDCURP + &BLCURP - PlanCURP); -SET &RemCURP = FTOA(&RemCURP,'(D8B)','A12');This message has been edited. Last edited by: JonesGuy,
FTOA: Converting a Number to Alphanumeric Format. D8B is equivalent to I8B for the purposes of this conversion (integers cannot be used in this function). A12 gives enough space to display a (99,999,999) field.
