WilkyHow to save output from an -HTMLFORM
I am trying to save the output of an html form to a web page on ashare folder. The form is generated in a Fex but only contains variables that are in Memory.
The code to create the storage folder works fine I am trying to get the form to save in the folder.
-DOS MKDIR \\Njfileshare\corpdocs\NonConformance\NonConformences\&KEY3
-HTMLFORM BEGIN
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>Procedure Summary</TITLE>
</HEAD>
<BODY bgColor=#33ffff topmargin="0" leftmargin="0" >
<SPAN id=text7 style="BORDER-RIGHT: 1px solid; BORDER-TOP: 1px solid; Z-INDEX: 22; LEFT: 10px; VISIBILITY: visible; BORDER-LEFT: 1px solid; WIDTH: 560px; BORDER-BOTTOM: 1px solid; POSITION: absolute; TOP: 10px; HEIGHT: 50px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" tabIndex=0>
<a href="javascript:window.print()">Print This Page</a><BR>
<font size="7">Non Conformance Sheet<BR><BR>

Francis MarianiIt looks like you want to save an HTML report in the specified directory. To do that hold the report as format HTML. -HTMLFORM is used to display HTML from a fex.
FILEDEF H001 DISK C:\temp\h001.html
-RUN
TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT
*
HEADING
"WEBFOCUS REPORT"
WHERE READLIMIT EQ 100
WHERE RECORDLIMIT EQ 100
ON TABLE HOLD AS H001 FORMAT HTML
ON TABLE SET PAGE NOLEAD
ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON
ON TABLE SET STYLESHEET *
BORDER=1, BORDER-COLOR=SILVER,
FONT='ARIAL', SIZE=8, $
ENDSTYLE
END

GizmoDo you have Report Caster?
If so, you could probably schedule it as a job with ftp output. You would just need to setup an ftp alias to the directory that you are trying to store the result to.

susannahwilky ...
it seems you want everything between your -HTMLFORM BEGIN and END statements to be saved.
FrankieMartini has taught you how to FILEDEF the output of a fex,
the part that is referenced by !IBI.FIL.H001;
but the surrounding html, won't be carried along with it.
Can you write as much of that surrounding html in the fex itself?
From your code it looks like a fex with all header rows would do it,
plopping those &vars into the headers..
reading some dummy file, maybe with SET EMPTYREPORT=ON and
TABLE FILE CAR
HEADING
...lots of lines here
PRINT CAR NOPRINT IF RECORDLIMIT EQ 1
-*-
If for some reason not, i see 2 choices;
1. filedef a second file that will contain all the surrounding code and -WRITE to it.
2. have the surrounding code already made on the server saved as a .asp file, with a include statement that pulls in your fex-made-and-filedeffed H001.HTML;
the include statement for an asp file is:
<!-- #include file="http:\...\H001.HTML" -->
and a .asp file is just a .html or .htm file that you have saved with a .asp extention, but i'm sure you already know all this bit.

Tony AWilky,
If you map your destination folder to an application name and then use APP HOLD to that application folder, you can get your HTML as you want to. -
APP MAP HTMOUTPUT C:\foldername\etc.
APP HOLD HTMOUTPUT
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM RCOST
DCOST
BY COUNTRY
BY CAR
BY MODEL
ON TABLE HOLD AS TESTHTM FORMAT HTML
ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON
ON TABLE SET PAGE NOLEAD
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
yourstyle statements
ENDSTYLE
END
-RUN
APP HOLD
You just need to create the fex that will give you the output you require, I would suggest achieving it entirely as a header.
... and I would suggest adopting a standard within your code by using all !IBI.AMP for your variables. You have not used it in the IMG tag for the barcode variable of &KEY3
