Absolutely! You can distribute compound documents.
I've used ReportCaster to dynamically distribute over 18,000 compound reports in about 20 minutes , using FTP. I've also dynamically distributed several reports via email.
How many reports do you have? How do you want to distribute them?

I want to distribute a single HTML Document that works like a webpage in that it has drop down filters that change the output of approximately 10 reports and graphs.
Basically, I'm trying to create a work-around for employees that do not have access to our WebFOCUS portal.
Just sending an Active HTML report is not visually intuitive enough for our users, especially when it comes to filtering.

Compound Reports came at the suggestion of BabakNYC. I've been reading about them but I'm not sure that's what I'm going for.
As for access, my goal is to be able to pass this information through an e-mail attachment. I am currently doing this using ReportCaster but so far I've only been able to send reports.
Basically, I'm trying to avoid the scenario where they need to input a login and password.

I am confused as to why a login / password is being required. ReportCaster is a push technology and does not require a login / password unless the output is going to the report library. Compound documents are definitely supported.
Thank you for using Focal Point!

I think the confusion is because we started talking about two different things.
My original question was to inquire about sending a fully contained HTML/Document through ReportCaster to avoid the situation where the receiver needs to login.
Based on my research, the main problem is that I cannot send reports through ReportCaster with undefined variables. I wanted to send a report with dynamic variables where the receiver of the report could choose the variables on their end.

ReportCaster can send final report output not a user interface.
One idea to avoid the need for a signon is to develop the html page in the Web Applications area (/approot context) not in the content area. You can build a guided self service front end where the users make their selections and then run the report. This message has been edited. Last edited by: FP Mod Chuck,

I believe that can be prevented using the In Document Analytics... However, the WebFOCUS or Corporate Security restrictions may apply and require the sign-on to WebFOCUS as the attachment is outside the firewall / disconnected from the WebFOCUS environments.
