[SOLVED]WF8 - JSCHART - Daily Data Across Xaxis - Marks Only First Day Each Qtr.

In my graph, I have daily data across the xaxis.

This can be modeled, somewhat, with GGSALES:
DEFINE FILE GGSALES
 SMTDATE/MDYY = DATE;
END
GRAPH FILE GGSALES
SUM UNITS
BY  SMTDATE
ON GRAPH PCHOLD FORMAT JSCHART
ON GRAPH SET VZERO OFF
ON GRAPH SET HTMLENCODE ON
ON GRAPH SET GRAPHDEFAULT OFF
ON GRAPH SET GRMERGE ON
ON GRAPH SET LOOKGRAPH VLINE
ON GRAPH SET AUTOFIT ON
END

When I run this code, I see all the date values across the x axis.

How can I control what dates show across the x axis?

I'd like to show 01/01/96, 04/01/96, 7/01/96, 10/01/96, 01/01/97,...

With daily data, in my real example, the dates are not legible, hence my need to display dates at intervals.

Quick and dirty solution -

DEFINE FILE GGSALES
 SMTDATE/MDYY = DATE;
 QTRDATE/MDYY = DATEMOV(SMTDATE, 'BOQ');
 SHOW_DATE/MDYY MISSING ON = IF SMTDATE EQ QTRDATE THEN SMTDATE ELSE MISSING;
 YEAR/YY = DATE;
END
GRAPH FILE GGSALES
SUM UNITS
BY  SMTDATE NOPRINT
BY  SHOW_DATE
WHERE YEAR EQ 1996;
ON GRAPH PCHOLD FORMAT JSCHART
ON GRAPH SET VZERO OFF
ON GRAPH SET HTMLENCODE ON
ON GRAPH SET GRAPHDEFAULT OFF
ON GRAPH SET GRMERGE ON
ON GRAPH SET LOOKGRAPH VLINE
ON GRAPH SET AUTOFIT ON
END
