is there a way to create a computed field using a LIKE operator?

example.. if existing column LIKE '%COM%' then "commercial" else "not commercial"

using 8.2 webfocus

worked. i just used IF ... then. and i didnt do the ELSE, but once i added the ELSE it worked.
