any one can help he configuring the distribution server. help required in 1)selecting mailing server & ftp server. 2)how should that(mailing and ftp)servers be configured.
any suggestion also plz mail me... Its urgent, plz help me....
When installing web focus, you do not have to provide the ftp server. The install does expect you to provide a mail server, however, this is only used as the default when scheduling a new request. You will have the ability to change the mail server at request time. Also, the install does not verify the mail server is actually there, so you can use a dummy server name (e.g. mail.changelater.com) at install time.
The FTP server is a potential target FTP server, therefore no configuration is required. The mail (SMTP) server need only be used as a relay server, therefore you any valid mail server that can relay (i.e. RC can ask that mail server to send emails out in its behalf) will do. I suggest using the dns name such as mail.ibi.com, or the ip address of the server.
Hope this helps.
