Hello All,

I have some freeform description fields in my MFD, Desc_field1, Desc_field2, Desc_field3.

I would like to surpress the printing of any of the desc fields that are blank.

I am currently using the following code:
Print
desc_field1
desc_field2
desc_field3
Is there a way to supress these blank fields??

Thanks to all,
KT

KT, There is no automatic way to slide the values of each field to the left when one (or more) of them is blank. However, there are simple techniques to accomplish what you would like to do.

If all of your DESC fields are reasonably short, for example A256, the easiest way to do this would be to create a new DEFINE field with a format of A768 (3 x 256) and then concatenate the three DESC fields using strong (double bar ||) concatenation. Then just print the new DEFINE filed.

Thanks!

Mickey
