I'm at a client who is upgrading from 5.2.7 to 5.3.3. We have found that elaborate reports built in DevStudio in 5.2.7 do not successful show dropdowns after code is copied to 5.3.3. T
The initial response from IBI is to re-open the code in Developer Studio. Unfortunately, in several cases a complete rewrite is required. Has anybody dealt with this problem elsewhere? This is a SQL Server shop, windows 2k.
Thanks!

I'm surprised to hear you even had chaining drop-down boxes in Dev Studio 5.2.7. It appears from reading other posts, 5.3.3 seems fairly buggy and perhaps you should move to 5.3.4.
I'm submitting a case with IBI even though the original response was to rewrite the code. That is thoroughly unacceptable. The upgrade should not disengage existing code.

After considerable re-jiggering of the code the dropdowns now work. Key here: if you are chaining with a hold file make certain that it's a FOCUS table - ON TABLE HOLD AS HOLDXXX FORMAT FOCUS.
