I want to be able to write a set of Variables to a log file and then be able to read them in a different procedure that will be executed at a different time to the write.
So far I have got the below:
APP FI MASTER DISK bgl_error_trap.MAS -RUN -WRITE MASTER FILENAME=bgl_error_trap, SUFFIX=FOC -WRITE MASTER SEGNAME=ONE, SEGTYPE=S1 -WRITE MASTER FIELDNAME=VAR ,ALIAS=VAR ,USAGE=A100 ,$ -WRITE MASTER FIELDNAME=PARAMNAME ,ALIAS=PARAMNAME ,USAGE=A100 ,$ -WRITE MASTER FIELDNAME=USERID ,ALIAS=USERID ,USAGE=A100 ,$ -WRITE MASTER FIELDNAME=DATE ,ALIAS=DATE ,USAGE=DMYY ,$ -*CREATE FILE bgl_error_trap MODIFY FILE bgl_error_trap FREEFORM VAR PARAMNAME USERID DATE DATA &VAR,&PARAM_NAME,&User,&Date,$ END
-RUN
This writes to a file and if I immediatly do a TABLE FILE PRINT * END I can see the variables being appended to the file. GREAT!
However, if I attempt to run the same TABLE command from another procedure I get the following error:
(FOC205) THE DESCRIPTION CANNOT BE FOUND FOR FILE NAMED: BGL_ERROR_TRAP
Any suggestions? Can I use TABLE FILE or do I need to be looking at a different command?
Thanks
Mark,
