I've been tasked with standardizing the filter controls across our library of reports. Is it possible to create our own controls, like a common location selector or a start/end date input? That way all our reports would be not only uniform, but if we want to change something, it would be shared over they entire system. I'm not holding on to great hopes as WebFocus seems to be procedural rather than object oriented. This message has been edited. Last edited by: mbondr,

You can create a filter panel which can be used across all your portal. So, if you change something to that single html page (because filter panel is an html page), the change will be applied everywhere.

This very much depends on what version of WebFOCUS and what part of WebFOCUS.
Your signature says WebFOCUS 8, there is a dizzying array of versions covered by 8

Waz - Version 8.204. Fixed it in my signature.
MartinY - This sounds interesting. Filter panel isn't a DIV? Is it an IFrame that houses an html page? I think it sounds more like an XML fragment, an include. Is there an example or documentation you can point me to?
