I am fairly new to WebFOCUS self service application. I need to make changes to code someone already developed. Right now the self service HTML page has 2 double list controls one each for sort fields and one for measures. There are many filters as well.
So the TABLE request is like this
TABLE FILE TABLE_NAME
SUM
&MSR_FIELDS
BY &SORT_FIELDS
WHERE CONDITION1
WHERE CONDITION2
END
New request is to have another double list control with more fields as other dimensions. How can I include this in the fex? Should I do like a multi-verb?
TABLE FILE TABLE_NAME
SUM
&MSR_FIELDS
BY &SORT_FIELDS
WHERE CONDITION1
WHERE CONDITION2
SUM
&OTHER_DIMEN
BY &SORT_FIELDS
WHERE CONDITION1
WHERE CONDITION2
END
Please suggest.
Thank you. This message has been edited. Last edited by: FP Mod Chuck,
You can have as many sort fields as you want. Multiverb isn't required for this.
TABLE FILE TABLE_NAME
SUM
&MSR_FIELDS
BY &FIRST_SRT
BY &SECOND_SRT
BY &THIRD_SRT
ACROSS &FIRST_ACR
ACROSS &SECOND_ACR
WHERE CONDITION1
WHERE CONDITION2
END
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
CAR.BODY.DEALER_COST
CAR.BODY.RETAIL_COST
BY &RP_FL01B01_Sort1.(<COUNTRY,CAR.ORIGIN.COUNTRY>,<CAR,CAR.COMP.CAR>,<MODEL,CAR.CARREC.MODEL>,<None,_FOC_NULL>).Please select sort field(s).
BY &RP_FL02B02_Sort2.(<COUNTRY,CAR.ORIGIN.COUNTRY>,<CAR,CAR.COMP.CAR>,<MODEL,CAR.CARREC.MODEL>,<None,_FOC_NULL>).Please select sort field(s).
BY &RP_FL03B03_Sort3.(<COUNTRY,CAR.ORIGIN.COUNTRY>,<CAR,CAR.COMP.CAR>,<MODEL,CAR.CARREC.MODEL>,<None,_FOC_NULL>).Please select sort field(s).
ON TABLE SET ONFIELD IGNORE
ON TABLE SET PAGE-NUM NOLEAD
ON TABLE SET ASNAMES ON
ON TABLE NOTOTAL
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT HTML
ON TABLE SET HTMLEMBEDIMG ON
ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
INCLUDE = IBFS:/EDA/EDASERVE/_EDAHOME/ETC/warm.sty,
$
ENDSTYLE
END

Thanks for the reply babaknyc. I don't think they are applicable as sort fields. May be I will add them up in SUM request with measures.
Same concept. I'm generating this out of App Studio.
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
&RP_FL04S01_Sum4.(<DEALER_COST,CAR.BODY.DEALER_COST>,<RETAIL_COST,CAR.BODY.RETAIL_COST>,<None,_FOC_NULL>).Please select sum field(s).
