I have never used report caster api before, but i have a requirement where i need to send a customized message to the distribution list. The distribution list is dynamic and read from an excel sheet.

Would need some help on how do i start with.

Please just confirm:

Does your company have a ReportCaster license, or are you looking for an alternate mechanism?

Your signature says that you are on WF 7.6.9 - is this still correct?

Here is one way to do this.

If you have a process that creates your dynamic email file, if you could change it to put it into a text file with the below format. Report Caster can use it to distribute to

Bugs.Bunney@acme.com,A,$
Road.Runner@acme.com,B,$
WileE.Coyote@acme.com,C,$

Create a report fex that includes an -HTMLFORM BEGIN with what ever custom message you want in it, then you can embed the result in the body of the email instead of sending it as a report.
