Hi, We are using Webfocus 5.2.6 reporting server.I would like to know the significance of WF_VIEWER cookie. What exactly is the information present in this cookie? Any responses are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bhuvana.
Bhuvana, I don't know the exact contents of the cookie, but the WF_VIEWER is used to locate WebFOCUS temp files and for session expiration. The tempdir location for each user is unique, and therefore needs to be stored in order for the user to retrieve information kept there during run-time. Doug
I support multiple Information Builders customers across platforms with very varied configurations.
I still have few questions.Do you mean to say the path for the temp file in the client system is stored in WF_VIEWER cookie. This parameter is configured in cgivars.wfs right? what about the other parameters configured in cgivars.wfs? All this info is stored in the cookies?
