We have a ReportCaster installed on loadballanced WF Clients talking to a pair of clustered report servers. All works OK for normal reporting.

We also have some jobs that we would like to have happen on both report servers because they generate foc files that need to be periodically refreshed.

In their case I have two fex files that include the foc generating code. Each fex has properties that specify the report server (S1, S2) I want it to run on. When I run these live they work fine.

The problem is when I try to set up a schedule for them to run. The report server node names are not recognized unless they are EDASERV.

What am I missing?

Don't really know what you mean by that.

The easy way around this is to define each reporting server as a remote server to every server in the cluster. Your FEX could then build the file on the server that gets the job, then it can do -REMOTE BEGIN/END for the remaining servers. That way it wouldn't matter what server gets the request, and the files are built in all server instances.
