I am using the following piece of code to get to the Distribution server

String sched_id = new String();
DSTSchedFactory factory1 = new DSTSchedFactory();
DSTAuthenticate auth1 = new DSTAuthenticate();
factory1.setAuthenticate(auth1);
factory1.clear();
auth1.setUser(IBIB_USERID);
auth1.setPass(IBIB_USERID);
auth1.setAgentProperty(IBIB_SERVER);

DSTBeanHandler app1 = factory1.getSchedulePropertyHandler();

app1.processRequest();
DSTAPIStatus status = app1.getAPIStatus();
int code1 = status.getErrorCode();
String message = status.getErrorMessage();
DSTBeanResult result = app1.getBeanResult();

The error message I get is "Configuration and Initialization Error: Failed to connect to the Distribution Server." with code1 = -1.

I am new to IBI. Is there something which I am overlooking?

It turns out that the error I was actually getting was "Unable to establish connection to ReportCaster repository. Contact your ReportCaster Administrator. oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver". I am using IBM WSAD as my IDE. The message seemed obscure and after some time we discovered that I have to include the oracle's thin driver "classes12.jar" in the classpath.
