Folks

Has anyone had this problem?

I do ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT EXL2K and run in a new window. This produces the spreadsheet output that the user wants.

They then do File -> Save As

Then they are prompted for their windows id, password and domain.

Even if they enter their correct password a save dialog box appears for an instant on screen and they are returned to the spreadsheet in the webbrowser.

The workaround is to simply select all cells of the spreadsheet and cut and then open excel and paste and then save in excel, but for all other users this workaround stage is not needed as 'Save As' works just fine.

This suggests this is due to something specific on that users machine or more probably an IE setting.

Has anyone encountered this and solved this problem before? All comments gratefully appreciated.

Regards

John

PS our version of Excel is 2003.

Found this on a similar problem with another user

https://forums.informationbuilders.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/...981004791#8981004791

Tried the suggestion in there but did not work.

Might have something to do with Private Ark which is a secure passworded and encrypted disk storage facility but entering the Private Ark passwords did not have the desired effect.

John,

Does this behavior also occur when the F12 key is used to launch the save dialogue?

Kev

Unfortunately it does - however useful to know about F12.
