Groups with different colors in a graph

Hi All,

I have a bar graph (GraphType 17) which basicaly shows Groups (ACROSS clause) and then series (BY clause) inside the groups.

I would like to have all series of a group to have the same color, but different groups would have a different combination.

Say Group 1 would have all bars of color Red, and Group 2 will have all bars of color Green.

How do I achieve it?

In a more technical language, "How would I refer to a series instance of a particular group in a graph, provided we know the group and series number"

Try this.

setFillColor(getSeries(0), new Color( 0, 0,250));
setFillColor(getSeries(1), new Color( 0, 0,200));
setFillColor(getSeries(2), new Color( 0, 0,150));

Hi Prarie,

If you use this, then the different series in the same group would have different colors. Also, the same series across groups would have the same color.

I want all the series in a particular group to be of the same color. However the same series in another group should have a different color.

I hope I was able to explain the requirement.
Else, please let me know I would try to get you a snapshot.

I got the answer to it...

setColorMode(2);

setFillColor(getGroup(0), new Color(222,236,255));
setFillColor(getGroup(1), new Color(222,0,0));
setFillColor(getGroup(2), new Color(0,80,80));


The setColorMode can have three values: 0, 1, 2.
If you put 2 as the value, then coloring is done by groups and not by series.
