When specifying a path_spec for the INFER command, is there a limitation on the number of characters used? From my reading, I'm thinking it is 66. If true, how does one get around it? I have a path_spec around 100 characters and I think I'm getting erors because it exceeds 66. Could be something else.

INFER is a maintain command. So I'm assuming you are referring to Maintain. I haven't come across any limit on the length of the infer command. It should follow the limitation rules set for master files. You can have the master file name, followed by the segment name, followed by the field name. The field name alone can be 66 characters. So it really would surprise me if there is a limit of 66 characters. Please post your master file, the maintain code that holds the INFER command and the error message you receive. This will help in determining what's wrong.
