We are using Webfocus 7.6.10 and ETL 7.6.10 and teradata 12.0

We are loading lot of flat files to teradata in ETL and we have created reports from the loaded tables but now the client wants to validate the flat files directly in webfocus for some of the reports because they want to run those reports before the ETL job, so we have created master files for the flat files and we used in reports but it is taking very long time so we planned to load that flat files to table inside the webfocus itself for that we have included the flow from ETL that will truncate the table and it will insert records now the problem is In Webfocus we did not have an access to drop or truncate the teradata tables so calling the flow showing error.Client gave permissions to use ETL user id and password for loading the data to teradata (only for these kind of reports)

Is there any way to change the connection username and password dynamically in webfocus because we have to insert data in teradata using ETL username and after that we have to use WF username for creating reports

Please give your suggestions and commands

Hi,

is DataMigrator and WebFOCUS running on the same server - using the same configuration files?

There are some scenarios to solve ths kind of setup.

1. you can have multiple user profiles in WebFOCUS Datamigrator using different sonnection strings.

2. You can use passthrough mode - that means user and password have to be entered by user and are passed to Teradata.

Please give us some more deetails regarding your config.

Yes we are running both webfocus and Datamigrator in the same server using same configuration files
