Does anyone use this (IMHO fantastic) open source database with WebFOCUS?This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,
WebFOCUS 8.1.03, Windows 7-64/2008-64, IBM DB2/400, Oracle 11g & RDB, MS SQL-Server 2005, SAP, PostgreSQL 11, Output: HTML, PDF, Excel 2010 : Member of User Group Benelux :
It is listed, I just wonder how well it's supported? For example, I notice there's no mention of HOLD FORMAT POSTGRESQL or something similar in the Help files.
From the little bits of relevant-looking documentation I can find PG would appear to be less well supported than for example DB2, MSSQL or Oracle. Technically, PG could be supported just as well (those are its direct competitors).
For a laugh, I tried:
TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT CAR
BY COUNTRY
ON TABLE HOLD AS PGCAR FORMAT POSTGRESQL
END
And got: 0 NUMBER OF RECORDS IN TABLE= 10 LINES= 10 0 PS FILE SAVED ...
ROFL, that's not what I asked for!
