There is a mechanism called HFREEZE you can use.

You just have to adjust SCROLLHEIGHT to the height of the report so that only 5 rows are shown, this depends on your styling. This command freezes the headers (HFREEZE=TOP) or footers (HFREEZE=BOTTOM) or both (HFREEZE=ON) so the report looks like it's scrolling.

Hi,
Is there a way to get functionality to freeze left BY columns, like HFREEZE=LEFT?
I have a report that may get so wide that user has to scroll to right to see rightmost columns and it would be good not to scroll two left BY columns.

You can control the vertical AND horizontal scrolling by making the report an Active report (AHTML).

LINES-PER-PAGE=n for the number of rows

TYPE=REPORT, FREEZE-COLUMN=column-name, $ for freezing a group of columns on the left.
