I've got a dynamically created drop down menu that potentially can be quite long. If you tab into the drop down and then key in the first character that you're looking for, the menu jumps to that part of the list. What I'm wondering is if anyone has been able to continue keying in characters to jump further in the list. Someone suggested that it could be down with javascript, but unfortunately that's not something I know.
Here's an example: If I know I want to select 33332, can I get to it in the drop down menu by just keying in all of the numbers.
drop down list includes- 112233 122233 221133 222233 223333 331122 332233 333322 441111 442233
Hope my question isn't too confusing. Thanks for your consideration and suggestions!

I know this topic is a few days old now, but mine does this by default...no special JS needed.
Maybe this is a browser thing? I'm running IE.
