I have a data file that I have sorted by AcctNumber Descending TransxDate and TransxAmount such that the data is: AcctNumber TransxDate TransxAmount 123 9/16 200 123 9/10 100 345 9/5 75 345 9/5 25 Now, I want to extract the first occurrence of each AcctNumber after I have sorted it. How do I use FST operator such that my results are: AcctNumber TransxDate TransxAmount 123 9/16 200 345 9/5 75
Any suggestions? I'm not sure why the fst operator is not working.
this will give you only one value per AcctNumber, that with the highest value of TransxDate, which I think from what you're saying is what you're after.
Regards
Tewy
