* How do I use the resource layout option in the 7.1 version?
* I have imported the reports from 5.3 version and I am not able to open the same using 'HTML layout painter' it gives an error saying file seems to be generated by a older version of the resource layout how to resolve this ?

Do not open the app via the import option.

Instead right click the fex file and select open in Developer Studio tool.
This will ask if you want to convert it to a new format htm file which has the fex code embeded.

Once converted it will open automatically in the layout tool.

A small NOTE, in your .fex change the -HTMLFORM filename to -HTMLFORM filename.htm otherwise the conversion routine
may say that it cannot find the associate html file.
