I would like to take 2 InfoAssist reports that I have created and make a 3rd report by joining the first 2 reports. I am not sure if this is possible? Any ideas?
Also I think this may be possible if I can save the first 2 reports to access them thru the metadata but I do not have this option is this possible?
Hi Christy and thank you for posting first message on our new InfoAssist board!
On your question, it sounds to me like you want to use the HOLD capability to do multi-step reporting. Unfortunately, that option is not available in release 8.0.0.1, but will be in 8.0.0.2.
Is the hold feature the same as the subquery feature? I just watched a video on subquerying in 8.0.2, and it sounds very powerful. I especially like how you can set the format to SQL, and have the entire request execute on the RDBMS.
Cheers,
Joey

Moogle, Subqueries is just one usage of hold files in InfoAssist. Others include but are not limited to building a cache to create all of the components in a compound document so you hit the data source just once and reporting with different aggregation levels via hold and join.
