[CLOSED] Report Caster : Unable to distribute to / not logged in
Hi,
we are having problems with some of our report caster jobs which are using the distribution feature. The job is creating a COMT file which is then distributed to a .csv file on a given FTP server. When the Report caster runs via the scheduler the job works 60% of the time. The other times it brings the messages "Unable to distribute to...." and "not logged on" This tends to happen most when we change the password but it also happens at other times. If we start the report caster job manually (with run) it always runs through even after a password change. We have tried cloning the job and using a different FTP server, creating 2 new jobs one with the original FTP server and one with an alternative. We have tried deleting the Caches. However everything we have tried up to now has had no effect. Has anybody else experienced a similar problem. After the file is created we have a -TYPE &LINES command and this always bring a number, so we know that a file has been created.

We are using WebFOCUS 7.703

Does anyone remember the STATE command in the mainframe world?
Would the WHENCE command work here?

we've got a job running in 77 now that parks a file on a mapped drive.
trouble is, the mapping times out, so we have put a NET USE command in the fex that forces a connection to a drive, then we CMD COPY the .htm we just made, and then we release the NET USE. works now. maybe you can do something similar.
here is the code:
CMD NET USE \\shares.nyumc.org\ipc$ /USER:nyumc\chairlunch chairlunchpwd

CMD COPY TROPHY.HTM \\shares.nyumc.org\Apps\ChairLunch\Report\ALERTS&YYMD|_TROPHY_PAGE_&kounter|.HTM /Y
