Hi,
I have a FEX procedure which does sorting on computed fields and dispaly results in HTML report, when i execute this procedure in Report caster its throwing an error stating that SORTING ON COMPUTED FIELDs. But the same procedure when i execute in webfocus environment its working fine.

EX:
TABLE FILE XYZ
COMPUTE V_TEST/A10=VALUE1;
COMPUTE V_TEST2/I3=VALUE2;
VALUE3
VALUE4
BY V_TEST
BY V_TEST2
B VALUE3

Try changing the
BY V_TEST
BY V_TEST2
to
BY TOTAL V_TEST
BY TOTAL V_TEST2
See if that stops the warning which is causing a problem with ReportCaster

There seem to be a few situations where a fex executes fine directly, but fails when executed thru RC. Guess you just ran into one of them. I had a similar post before -

If Rich's suggestion does not help, you will have to do the COMPUTE in one step and then do the BYs in a next step.

You want to do the BY TOTALs. You are getting the warning when you run without caster. Do a view Source in the browser, you will see the warnings. Caster by design treats warnings as fatal errors.
