A customer has asked if WebFocus can support Excel 2007 as they want to extract more than 65K lines of data!
Whilst we all know that this is not ideal and we should be looking at summarising the data for them, I have been asked to find out from management .
We are currently on 765, can later versions of WebFocus support Excel 2007 and can a potential of 1 million rows of data be output to Excel?
Thanks

Mark,
Just tested it for you.
TABLE FILE blahblah
PRINT something
WHERE RECORDLIMIT EQ 70000;
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT EXL2K
END
Works perfectly.
G'luck.
edited: By the way... WebFOCUS doesn't really export excel. It's a HTML or .mht or whatever. That does not have a limit of 65K. Just the tool that opens it... I don't think you even need a newer version of WF.

Hi Dave,
Yes of course, I forgot about the HTLM file. These can be very large when transmitted across a network for a long / wide report!
Thanks for your test...we don't have Excel 2007 in case anyone is wondering why I couldn't test this.
