I'm currently running webFOCUS against DB2 database. Is there a way to run RUNSTATS command in a webFOCUS FEX? I know that we can write SQL passthru with SQL commands like SELECT, UPDATE, DELETE, but was unsuccessful in running RUNSTATS command, even simple ones like RUNSTATS ON TABLE [schema].[table_name]; Has anyone tried running RUNSTATS?
Thanks.

RUNSTATS is a DBA function as it updates catalog statistics, so I don't think you'll be able to run this via WebFOCUS.

That was my understanding as well. Is there a way to execute RUNSTATS via a DBMS stored procedure? If so you could just execute the the stored procedure from WebFOCUS.

Thanks Darin for your suggestion.
I haven't tested out if it works running in a stored procedure because we have decided not to pursue running RUNSTATS in WebFOCUS.
