By the way, what precautions can I/should I take to make sure any of the variables I will be setting are not changed by the end users, since they are basically for security.

Do I have to worry that a user using the “Editor” feature can change any of security-related variables I set, say to restrict data access in a multi-tenant environment?

Further, is it possible to change a user account to have InfoAssist, but not have Editor, Report Assistant, Graph Assistant, and/or Power Painter?
