Has anyone changed the default setting on the Console to globally force reports to open in a new window? When I look at page 120 from the WebFOCUS Security and Administration, it seems like this is possible. My report writers are requesting it. But when I tried it, I locked myself out of some areas in WebFOCUS. So, I changed the setting back to MIME. (we are working with WF 8.0.09 testing prior to moving to Production) Thanks in advance for any help, Kind regards. This message has been edited. Last edited by: B,

MIME setting is to open report output in client machine program files. For example, to open .xlsx file in MS Excel application or .pdf file in Adobe Acrobat.
IBIWF_Redirect setting is to enable MIME or to use other available options.
If you are looking to control reports opening in same window or in new window, then you need to use TARGET=_blank attribute in the stylesheet.
You can also control this by using "SET TARGETFRAME=_blank" command. All drill-down hyperlinks from the base report or graph are directed to the specified frame unless overridden by the TARGET attribute in the StyleSheet.
