I am using WF8.2 and I am using an active html document report ("COMPOUND LAYOUT PCHOLD FORMAT AHTML")
I want to create a report which holds a snippet of html that would appear in a frame in the document, but I have not found a way to do this. The reason for this is the customer wants to be able to change the contents of this frame over time.
I have tried to create a fex using -HTMLFORM and then I use reference existing report and import this report. It appears well in the AppStudio tool, but when I run it, the rest of the report is gone.
This is due to the resulting fex simply doing an -INCLUDE, and not really forming a sandbox for the report/frame to appear in.
Is there any other way to make this work? Note that I am using the AHTML document feature and not the html composer. The resulting report must work offline with the exception of the html snippet. This message has been edited. Last edited by: <Emily McAllister>,
Since the html part is not intended for offline you could create 2 version of this report:
1. Standalone for offline by calling directly the compound AHTML
2. Online version using regular html frameset or via the html composer creating a frame which will call the html and a frame or iframe which will call the compound fex to generate the ahtml
Then in a fex you could switch between these 2 options using a parameter
