Apparently after we moved from 4.3.6 to 5.3.3, we were unable to import .txt files using FILEDEF anymore. When you try to TABLE FILE PRINT on the .txt file that you just FILEDEFed, it just tells you that it cannot find the description for that file. Here's what my code looks like. Anybody got any ideas? Thanks!

FILEDEF MARK1 DISK \\SERVER1\FILE1\TEST.TXT
TABLE FILE MARK1
PRINT *
END

Run this command:

WHENCE MARK1 MASTER

It will tell you if it finds the Master for MARK1 in the APPS path.

If something worked before you migrated and then stops working after you migrated, you shouldn't need to make a new Master, you ought to try looking for it in the old App folders.
