When the IBI server is stopped this is the error message that I get when I try to execute any of the fex file. I wish to customize this message. Which file in the path ./WebFOCUSxx/clientxx/home/etc do I need to modify ?

"Error attaching to Reporting Server: EDASERVE

The reporting server may not be running or may not be properly defined in the Client Communication Configuration file.

Please notify your server administrator."

You can find these strings in the file ENwebfoc_strings.lng, located in the D:\ibi\WebFOCUS76\client\wfc\etc directory (replace this wiuth your own install dirtectory if different). As far as I know, you can change these strings to whatever you want them to read, but I don't know how you can change the overall appearance of the error page.

Hope this helps (a bit)...

Forgot to mention, that IF you change anything in this file, you'll need to restart Tomcat (or the application server of your choice) before the change will take effect.
And that these changes will be undone after any new install or upgrade.

Thanks Gamp for the response, but I could not find the file ENwebfoc_strings.lng at the specified location. Do you think there could be some other file which can serve the purpose?

Gamp, Are you talking about the file enib00e.html that stored under \\server\driver\Webfocus71\ibi\WebFOCUS71\client71\wfc\etc .

I think you are correct, Kamesh. They renamed stuff for 7.6 and I'd deleted all my 7.1 stuff so didn't have anything to refer to.

That should get Radha going.
