I am trying to use report caster to schedule some reports in my application. I have noticed that to use the servlet API we have to supply a set of user ids/passwords (MRE userid/pwd and Execution userid/pwd). I wanted to know if there is some way by which we can default them??

I dont want to have the step of supplying the user id/pwd?

I have the IDs/PWDs in a .properties file. It is the only way it works for us.

We set up and use a generic ID, and give that ID access to the databases.

GO to the Report Caster server configuration. You can access it from Dev Studio by going to Report Caster.

In there you will see several options to configure various bahavior aspects of Caster. I would also recommend that you review the Report Caster Administration manualy that accompanied the product.
