Hi,

I have a simple code and it works when I try through WFServlet but not working when I run it on MRE.

My code is below,

ENGINE SQLMSS SET CONNECTION_ATTRIBUTES TEST servername/userid,encryptedpwd;TEST
SQL SQLMSS

SELECT TOP 10 * from TEST.dbo.TABLENAME;

TABLE FILE SQLOUT
PRINT *
END
-EXIT

When I run this code on MRE, getting error "Invalid object name" - TABLENAME.

I didn't understand why this is not running on MRE when it runs through WFServlet.

Any suggestion or advice, please let me know.

Thanks

Is TABLENAME the name of the table you are going against?

I tried this in MRE 5.3.2 and it worked:

-*ENGINE [SQLMSS] SET CONNECTION_ATTRIBUTES [server]/userid,password [;dbname][:provider_string]

ENGINE SQLMSS SET CONNECTION_ATTRIBUTES EIDW gfnotoeiprod/eiadmin,0X47CBAA692C2HAC493C7F2B5Q2C0AB9;EIDW

SQL SQLMSS
SELECT TOP 10 * from EIDW.dbo.TimeCopy;

TABLE FILE SQLOUT
PRINT *
END
-EXIT

I don't do a lot with SQL, but are you sure your permissions are valid to access the tables via all routes. We have fun setting up our DB2 access every time we change things.

Leah, Yes I do have permission to access those tables.

Francis, even connecting to other servers through that code works. Only on this server, I am facing problem.

In the connection string set up by the data adaptor configuration tool in the WebFOCUS Server, the last parameter, "dbname" is not set up. Remove the parameter to see if it makes a difference:

ENGINE SQLMSS SET CONNECTION_ATTRIBUTES TEST servername/userid,encryptedpwd

Got it, I don't understand why it need that line of code but that works.

ENGINE SQLMSS SET CONNECTION_ATTRIBUTES TEST servername/userid,encryptedpwd;TEST

SQL SQLMSS SET SERVER TEST - Adding this code makes it to work.

SQL SQLMSS

Thanks Francis and Leah for the suggestions.

Kamesh,

If you have multiple connections of the same type, SQLMSS in your case, if you don't want the first connection (which is the default), you have to do what you did or use the DEFAULT-CONNECTION statement:

ENGINE SQLMSS SET DEFAULT_CONNECTION TEST;

This was customized for your example.
