Hi,

I have a column in my Database table, which will be having data as Alphabets, numbers or combination of both...

Sample
-------
X
1
A
2B
RC

When I do a sorting BY(of) that column, The sorting is happening in such a way that Alphabets comes first and then the numbers...

Sample Sort
---------------
A
RC
X
1
2B

But in general, in any other programming language or Database, It is vice versa... Numbers always are sorted prior.

Is there a direct way of resolving this in webfocus?

While sorting, I need the numbers to come first and then the Alphabets.

Take a look at this.

The situation is not driven by WF but by the encoding on your platform.

Google "collating sequnce" for more information.
