This error means that the fieldname you've added is not the full name of the field, and there are two (or more) fields which could be the one you want.
e.g. if I have two fields called FIELD1 and FIELD2, and I write a request:
TABLE FILE filename PRINT FIELD END
I'd get the error message you've seen, as I could be referring to FIELD1 or FIELD2 hence the truncated fieldname (FIELD) is not unique.

I assume that FIELDA FIELDAZ are not the real field names. If they are then I would rename them to something other than FIELD... as FIELD may be a reserved word. Just a thought.
