I have just finished installation of the Client and report caster 714 on UNIX. This talks to the reporting server on the mainframe.
I can submit any report directly from the MRE, but when i create a schedule and try to submit it, it always comes back to me with the error,
Task error:Could not find the WebFocus Server:
Is there a difference in the way it connects to the reporting server in both these cases??? Please help! This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,
Sounds like you have not properly configured you report server in the Report Caster configuration page. It is a completely separate process and uses its own configuration. If you think you have configured it properly, you might need to reload the reportcaster app in your app server and restart.

Darin

yes, that solved it! I added the MVS webfocus server, with the service name in the Report caster configuratiopn page --> Data Server tab and restarted the Distribution server! I did not have to redeploy the report caster app though..
