Immediate need for a skilled Middleware Administrator with experience working with WebFocus to work onsite in Parkersburg, WV.
This position will be working in a critical financial environment deploying applications using web technologies including WebSphere and IBM WebFocus. The project will be designing, developing and optimizing Relational database management systems, including systems such as IBM DB2 (z/OS and LUW). Provide operational and technical support, including supporting platform hosting and testing systems functionality, for critical information systems used in Fiscal Service operations assisting with troubleshooting and problem resolution.
What you will bring: Five years of experience as a WebFocus administrator Experience with some of the following:
Administering high performance, high volume, and business critical systems Distributed WebFocus architecture design, creation, and modification Multi-tier architecture including WAN and multi-site communication Troubleshooting connectivity and reporting issues Configuring alerts for error conditions Working knowledge of some the following:
Architecture Integration in a large enterprise Mainframe and distributed topology as related to WebFocus reporting Configuring connectivity to external sources (RDBMS, including but not limited to, Oracle, DB2, and MS-SQL) Working with multiple operating systems (such as Windows, IBM AIX, and Linux) Hands-on experience in government and financial sectors The ability to make recommendations to peers and executives on subjects relating to software, middleware, back-end platforms, libraries, and tooling. must be able to obtain a public trust clearance- us citizen or green card onlyThis message has been edited. Admins are few and far between. Ones that know Websphere and WebFOCUS are even more scarce.
