In WFDS 7.7.02, I was able to eliminate the rogue 'Wating for response...' page by following instructions with the case below:

Execute report for DevStudio displays 'Waiting for response'

Case information refers to the Product, Release, and OS for which this question was asked. The solution may apply to other Products, Releases, and Operating Systems.

Symptom:
Waiting for Response

Problem:
Executing a report from Developer Studio displays the above message in a
separate browser window.

Solution:
To resolve this, rename the PendingRequestPage.html file located in the
following directory from the PC Developer Studio install:
C:\Users\User_ID\AppData\LocalLow\InformationBuilders\

In WFDS 8.0.06, this technique seems to not work, as I obtain an error message box from IE, 'cannot find file....PendingRequestPage.html'.

For clarity, here is my setup:

In 'Developer Studio Options' 'Output Viewer Settings tab'...

...I have 'Use Internet Explorer' checked, and 'Run in same window' selected'. My goal is to have the results of repeated runs of a WFDS focexec under construction, appear in the same window. (I have two screens, one would have WFDS, and the other IE.)

When I have to delete the spurious 'Waiting for response' window, development slows.
