noticed this today; when doing a print command you can total a column by typing column-total after it...
TABLE FILE CAR PRINT RCOST COLUMN-TOTAL END
pretty neat eh?
i reckon over half of you may know this but judging by my colleagues suprise over this discovery i thought i'd share as i think it a nicer way of handling column totals.
any comments or findings?
sorry if this is a repost.

Of course, it is internally translated to: TABLE FILE CAR PRINT RCOST ON TABLE COLUMN-TOTAL END
Another nice thing is that you can add a 's' to every field in your request. It is reputed to enhance the readability of the request. Something like: TABLE FILE CAR PRINT SEATS DCOSTS RCOSTS BY COUNTRYS END

This has been around a very long time. It is the same as saying ON TABLE COLUMN-TOTAL. You only need to put COLUMN-TOTAL once on the PRINT/SUM statement and it will create a column total for ALL numeric fields on the report.
Thanks!

You can also specify fieldnames after the column-total if you only want certain column to be totalled instad of all of them - handy when one of you columns may be PHONE_NUMBER.
