I need help with a report i am making on report painter.
the first report request:
Create a report called EXER08C that displays the average expenses for each year and a sum of the expenses for each state. The fields needed from the TRAINING table are: COURSESTART (Format – YMD) EXPENSES STATE
The finished report should display year , yearly average and total expenses by state. finally it should display total training expenses in the heading using reference.
any have any idea how to do this in simple steps?

lastly when do you use what/whatif functions? what about compute finction?

1) Upload the image file to an external FTP site (e.g. www.tinypic.com - no registration needed) 2) Post the URL to the image by either: (1) clicking on the Image URL icon and insert the URL to the image, then choose alignments (left, right, etc.); or (2) wrap the URL with tags [ IMG ]URL-goes-here[ /IMG ].
That exercise reflects what you learned in lesson 8 - Performing Numeric Operations. Go back and review that lesson and I believe you will see all you need to know on how to get started on this exercise.
