I have an EXL2K report with alternating row colors. Users are unable to sort the data in EXCEL without the row color changing. Is there something I can do in style sheet to correct this?

Once you have exported to XL, the background color is hardcoded into each cell. Maybe an XL macro can help to recolor each line accordingly. Or you could do something a bit convoluted: Output to Active HTML Let the user sort as desired Export to HTML Read the HTML file with XL
Good luck!
