I am tryiong to copy a session variable to a Web Focus variable.

httpsessionvar = theName
wfvar = MYVAR
CopySessionVarToWFVar(httpsessionvar,wfvar)
RETCODE NE 0
IBIF_ex=courses

MYVAR (pass)

theName is my session variable which i set from JSP. After setting this i call a Web Focus procedure using:
ort/ibi_apps/WFServlet?IBIF_ex%20=getuser.fex%20&%20IBIC_server=EDASERVE">

This is my site.wfs code
and my entry in the client for
WFEXT is ibi.webfoc.WFEXTDefault
But i always get an error. Anything which needs to be changed?

Sorry if these questions seem stupid:

- is the jsp in "/ibi_apps"?
- are you creating the session with "getSession()" or getSession(true)" in your jsp?

The JSP is in ibi_apps
im creating a session variable with
HttpSession sess = request.getSession(true);
sess.getAttribute( "theName" )


i tried both getSession and getSession(true)

you shoud be using setAttribute to create the attribute. If it were me I would create the attribute with 1 jsp and then use another jsp to check.display the attribute before even trying to get WebFOCUS involved. This way you know that teh jsp is working correctly.

I think you just missing the SET.

wfvar=MYVAR
sessionvar=theName
<call>CopyHTTPCookieToWFVar(sessionvar, wfvar)

<if>MYVAR EQ "null"
  IBIF_ex=ERROR
<else>
  IBIF_ex=courses
<endif>

<SET>MYVAR(pass)

I have the WebFocus WebServer and AppServer on different Unix Computers.

The URL to HTML page works fine
http://ftwaxwfcp001.iss.bnr.com/approot/en_rel/test_jsp.html

But the URL to JSP does not work
http://ftwaxwfcp001.iss.bnr.com/approot/en_rel/test_jsp.jsp
(I also tried .com:8080 ...)

Is there already a default JSP Engine on the WebServer?
How should I try the URL for the JSP?
