I'm creating dynamic URL by passing environmental variables so that when we change servers (Ex from Dev --> Test --> Stage --> Prod) we need not to change any code/URL. Below is the piece of code i wrote in JavaScript and i'm storing server name and environment variable name in temporary variables to pass in final URL.

var server_name = "!IBI.AMP.SERVER_NAME;";
var env_name = "!IBI.AMP.IBIC_server;";
var url = strPath+"://"+server_name+"/ibi_apps/WFServlet?IBIF_ex=xyc.fex&|IBIC_server="+env_name+"&|IBIAPP_app=dm_master";

When i run the URL it gives me error message that IBI is undefined. Then i performed a simple test to check if environment variable will work in WF 7.7 version. I issued below command in WF 7.7 version's procedure.

-TYPE &IBIAPP_app;
-TYPE &IBIC_server;

The above command is not working in WF 7.7 version where as I gave same command in WF 7.6.9 and 7.1.4 version and it works perfectly fine.

1. Does the above environment is not supported in WF 7.7 version?
2. Is there any alternative solution to get these values in temporary variable in HTML and procedureso that i can pass it URL?

I don't think it would have had the correct result in earlier versions without any customisation of the configuration. What you should change is: in the site specific config part of the webfocus admin console add the following two lines:

<set>IBIC_server(pass)
<set>IBIAPP_app(pass)

My guess is that these settings were active in your previous release, but that they have not been set (yet) in the new config.
