Hi All,

I have built the HTML code to filter the data in HTML and auto refresh the remaining reports in BI portal. I am able to read the values from comboboxes and dates but not able to read from Radio choice. I am trying to read the values to parameter &radio2. Please find the below code and try to help. Thanks in advance!

Your radio and date controls are not bind to any variable.

Open your HTML with the Composer, go to Parameters tab and bind your controls.

Thanks for your information, its working now i can read the values from date controls though i did not bind to variables earlier.

I have another question, Portal is getting refresh for all the controls except the date when i use trigger type as "selection Change"( trigger="change").
Can you please suggest which control or how can i get the same functionalities for date?

As far as I can remember, date controls are an "exception" since its a control that includes "outside" IBI features.
I mean that it includes java script file to populate the date control/calendar that the HTML Composer automatically includes and where the Refresh has no effect.

You will need to add java script (per example) that will perform a refresh function on you calendar.
Something as simple as :
function refresh_dte()
{
   myDate.value = '';
}

I have tried in many ways as Martin suggested but no luck for me. Can someone give the detailed suggestion/information on where to create the function and call the created function to refresh the portal by using date controls. Below is code generated by the tool. Thanks in advance!

I may have misunderstood your request about Refresh.

Once you bind all your parameters properly, even the date control should update the portal.

Here is the report used in the BIP

Hi koti,
Your code shows that the ‘STARTDATE and ‘enddate’ are in ‘MDYY’ format. This format must match the date format in the data source, if it doesn’t, change format of your date controls to match with the data source. You really don’t need to make any coding changes in JavaScript for what you want to do with the dates.
